Default How much do graphic designers normally charge to create a logo?

I'm looking to have a logo created for a business im starting up but really have no idea what I should expect to pay for this. I already have an idea of what I want so it wouldn't totally be starting from scratch. Any ideas?

Corporate identity and branding is a specialized area of marketing that goes beyond graphic design. To do it right I would suggest finding a designer with a passion for branding.

I happen to have a great referral. Pablo Ricatti is our age (25-30 not sure) and lives in South Beach. He's a cool guy with a degree from Georgia Tech and a passion for branding and identity design. I selected him to do some application icons for some of my upcoming software products. You would have to discuss his rates with him directly.
