Watched it last night and maybe its just because I'm a music fan...but I absolutely loved this movie. I didn't think it had the cheesey quality of most movie musicals...they allowed the characters to develop and it wasn't everyone singing all at once from the start. I was skeptical of the acclaim Hudson received before I seen this now I can see why everyone was raving about her...didn't think Beyonce was bad at all. The film had my attention from start to finish and even my wife who falls asleep in 95% of the movies we rent couldn't stop watching it. First movie in a long time I enjoyed from start to finish and would actually buy...
