I know I am late on this nor surf but I love me some swells.. Last week I was in Deerfield Beach meeting a friend and I couldn't believe how huge they were, I love to watch the waves when they are that nice especially down here in shit for waves area. My friend said that night before the tide went up all the way to the pavilion and that one wave went right over the pier and soaked everyone. 8) Best swells I ever bodysurfed on were still in the Bahamas but these last week looked a bit too big to bodysurf. |

My dad was so excited last night on the phone about his surfing session on Wednesday that he said he was laughing out loud on wave runs. He has a collection of surf boards that are gathering dust now that he has a good ski that loves big water. I had to BEG him not to take his new ski out every day morning and night while these waves are up like he wants to, because he's going to strain a muscle from over-training and not even realize it until next week. Surfers are drawn to big water like flies to a bug zapper. Even after we see news about some surfer in our neighborhood getting swallowed by a giant wave, or even when we know we're hurting our bodies, we're still out there stalking rhinos when they come to town.
