Doesn't Google espouse "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful"?

And yet they bend over backwards for the unhanged criminals in charge of China.

The "Do no evil" policy at Google ended at the IPO.

That's sad. I don't begrudge them the opportunity to make a buck, but not like that.

Google's days are numbered. Which is fine by me, I've disliked them from the get-go.

I wouldn't go that far. Google is pretty damn powerful if you think about it.

The article is BS. Those countries censor their radio and tv and press just like they do to the internet. Nothing new here except them trying to get headlines with it.

The article was more on the fact that American corporations are complicit and assisting with these measures.

I do think about it. So do a lot of other people. For being so damn powerful, they do a really bad job of their primary business, web-searching. Of course, I think they know that, and that's why they've spent billions on other businesses. Sure, in 5 years Google will still be a megacorp, but they won't be the primary search engine, anymore.

How do you figure they're a bad search engine?

Oh, don't even get me started. I type in some term and 18 million unrelated sites come up.
