| CoolJunkie | That was some lame finale. The finale Seinfeld had more drama and surprises, and that sure isn't saying much. Agreed about Meadow parking, though. And that guy glancing over from the counter and then heading into the john, I thought he was going to wack Tony for sure. All that, and the show ended on good onion rings. Can anyone say anti-climatic? ???

| CoolJunkie | Wow how many millions of people across the country tonight linked the Seinfeld and the Soranos finales? Amazing. I have a friend who only saw one Seinfeld, the finale, when I dragged him to a party. He only saw one Sopranos, then I told him about the finale tonight, "NOTHING happened", and he immediately went, "Oh like the Seinfeld finale". Man yes they both sucked. I missed a few this season and I'm not going to bother to watch them now.

| one possibility about what happens appens when you die to which tony said nothing everything just goes blank the last scene it went blank=tony is dead i thought the cable went out paulie, not carlo was the rat. tony said the cat killed a rat in the basement. paulie did not like the cat. the cat followed paulie at the end and layed down near him. the writers left it open for interpretation, and i personally thought the ending was great given the two theories above. i can't believe it's over |

| Best theory i have heard so far....pulled from another board > OK, at first I was really angry. I mean really, > really angry. I can't believe though that no-one has > posted by now what happened. The only thing I saw > that was right, was that in the last scene we are > seeing through Tony's eyes. Remember when he was > speaking with Bobby...basically saying that you don't > see it happening? > > So here is what I found out. The guy at the bar is > also credited as Nikki Leotardo. The same actor > played him in the first part of season 6 during a > brief sit down concerning the future of Vito. That > wasn't that long ago. Apparently, he is the nephew of > Phil. Phil's brother Nikki Senior was killed in 1976 > in a car accident. Absolutely Genius!!!! David Chase > is truly rewarding the true fans who pay attention to > detail. > > So the point would have been that life continues and > we may never know the end of the Sopranos. But if you > pay attention to the history, you will find that all > the answers lie in the characters in the restaurant. > The trucker was the brother of the guy who was robbed > by Christopher in Season 2. Remember the DVD players? > The trucker had to identify the body. The boy scouts > were in the train store and the black guys at the end > were the ones who tried to kill Tony and only clipped > him in the ear (was that season 2 or 3?). > > Absolutely incredible!!!! There were three people in > the restaurant who had reason to kill Tony and then > it just ends. This was Chase's way of proving that he > will not escape his past. It will not go on forever > despite that he would like it to "don't stop". Not > the fans!!! Tony would like it to keep going but just > as we have to say goodbye, so does he. No more Tony > and I guess we are supposed to be happy that Meadow > didn't get clipped as well (she would have been > between the shooter and Tony) since she is the only > one worth a crap in that family.

| MegaJunkie | i heard some interesting stuff about the finale today. take it for what it's worth... no one in the restaurant scene has anything to do with Tony from previous episodes. the guy at the counter is not related to Phil, as rumored. that guy is, however, clearly wearing a gray members only jacket. in the closing credits, that character is listed as "man in members only jacket". the name of the earlier episode where Tony got shot by Junior was called, you guessed it, "members only". ![]() the shirt Tony is wearing at the table is also the same exact shirt he wore when he was shot the first time. this has been verified on youtube. Tony once said his favorite scene from the Godfather movies was when Michael comes out of the bathroom with the gun and kills Sollozzo. as we saw, the guy in the members only jacket goes to the bathroom right before the scene ends. right before Sollozzo was killed in that scene, he tells the police chief to "try the veal, it's the best in the city." at the table, Tony tells AJ "the onion rings are the best in the state." when Tony makes his selection on the jukebox, right next to the Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is "This Magic Moment", and it appears in 2 different spots in the jukebox. this is the same song that was played prominently in the lake house episode where Bobby and Tony talk about how if you get hit "you probably don’t even hear it when it happens". the final thing is, and this is a stretch, in the beginning of the episode Tony eats an orange when visiting Carmela. in the Godfather movies, oranges were used as symbols of death in key scenes.
