Car Mp3 players... mine craped out...suggestions?

after 4 yrs my mp3 player wont read any cds anymore..

what is a good spot to get them?


I am guessing best buy.. not sure if they do free install still

i went on their website and it doesnt help much it pretty much says that my car is not compatible with any model which is BS..

i had a kenwood before...


probably want to stick to that brand


what brands are good. i dont want to spend any more than 200 between the install and player


or is it just better to see if it can be fixed?

mp3 and regular cds is

"Toc Err"==which i guess means technical error

cd players are becoming obsolete. Just buy a head unit that hooks to an ipod and don't waste the time with cds or cd players. You can put 100% of all your cds on your ipod which in turn can play directly into your car.

dont have an ipod... ive been happy so far with the whole burn cd on pc play it on car mp3 player thing....


gonna go today to see if mine can be repaired but if it cant will get the ones that read ipods so when i do get one..

i have a jvc hd radio that plays mp3 cds... cost me $180 with free shipping from crutchfield and its very easy to install, they will even walk you through it over the phone.

you can also get an mp3 cd player that has an AUX input for the future ipod...

i have 90gb of music.. there is no ipod that size, but nice try. i also dont want to have every piece of music i own on something portable. there is no reason for it, i would actually rather get a 1gb shuffle or something small so i can change the selection up.
