Default mac question

i recently made the switch from pc to mac and found it to be a pretty easy transistion. but there are a few things that i don't know how to do, the one that i am still trying to figure out is how i would do the equivilent to a right-click, save as ... like when trying to download sets and stuff.

thanks for the help! and any other secrets and tricks that anyone knows of would be great too

;D

Get a 2-button mouse and you'll be fine.

Everything. OS X will recognize it's there automatically.

I never use the mouse that comes with the mac. Get a multi button mouse. They are cheap. If you are going to use it, then control+click gives you the second button menu.

On second thought, I heard the new mice that come with the computers allow you to press down on the upper right side to give you that second button menu. Try that.

Also, in certain situations, press-and-hold brings up a context menu. Theoretically you shouldn't need any of that to run your Mac, though.

You press the 'ctrl' button (control button) while clicking on something.

You can also press the Apple 'cmd' button for some functions.

Welcome to the family! ;D

the apple button + click is the equivalent of a right click. I don't use a mouse, just the touchpad on my Macbook.
