It's actually the 15 year anniversary. I too was cramped in a small room with 8 people praying while part of my roof was coming off in Pinecrest. Definitely the most scariest night of my life.

It was also my little brother's birthday. My mom was at South Miami Hospital cause they had evacuated Miami Beach where she was scheduled to have him. Turned out there was way more damage at South Miami with a fire in the elevator shaft and blown in windows. He wasn't due until late September.

I was home with my dad in la saguesera watching shit fly by our picture windows. We got massive water damage cause we lost most of the roof materials but i was 13 so it was all fun afterward. Climbing downed trees and picking through the rubble. Worst part was that we had no electricity for 3 weeks due to a blown up transformer whereas the people across the street had power.
