| Non Sufficit Orbis | I don't mind people living a healthy lifestyle, I mean, I could probably stand to think about eating better, but what I deplore is the smug aspect that a lot of them take, that they are somehow better than someone who sits down for a big steak and a pint of Guinness for dinner on occasion. Even worse are the recovering addicts who are now on a mission to tell you how much you suck for indulging in something that they cannot touch lest they fall off the wagon. If you're a recovering addict, I feel for you. I'll respect your struggle. But respect my choice to drink. I'm usually polite and will abstain if I'm in a situation where it is possible, i.e. at a dinner or something.

I'm a alcoholic/addict in recovery, and i never lecture anyone on their lifestyle choices. If someone in my precesnce breaks out drugs or drinks alcohol to excess i respectfully leave. What you do is your business until it interfers with me and my life. I would support a .00% BAC law. If you drink when your out, take a fucking cab. I agree that no blood alcohol content is a safe BAC. To argue that .02 is ok, but .08 not ... your just splitting hairs. I will never say that someone can't drink, but drink and drive .... I will be the first one to sick a cop on you for a DUI.

| Non Sufficit Orbis | I'll support a low DUI BAC level too, but testing methods need to be much improved. The current systems are too finicky with low BAC levels. A lot of things can throw them off.

| I agree if you're going to drink, a taxi or D.D. should be in order. It took me a long time to figure this out, but think that people should be able to consume some alcohol, within a limit and still be able to drive.

| That whole article pisses me off! F@#king police state, IMO. Anyone that actually thinks that DUI convictions are for the purpose of 'getting people off the roads' needs to get their head out of their asses. It's all a money racket! If they really wanted to stop DUI's they would do what they do in many other parts of the world & take your license &/or vehicle away permanently. I've seen people get multiple DUI's & they just slap 'em with fines, community service, etc. & give their license back every time.
