in my opinion, no. he still led his team to the post-season. the year was a relative success. unlike the other years where a player suffered catastrophic injury or a major drop-off in quality of play, this just seems like bad luck.

Vince Young wasnt as sucessfull as last year. The defense drove that team to the playoffs. He threw for less TD's than last year, threw more INT's than last year, rushed for less yards and got less rushing TD's. He is been hurting all year with injuries. I guess the Madden curse worked in a different way this year, but it still worked. Hopefully, he plays on Sunday, cause without him Titans won't have a chance against the Chargers.

i see, so you are comparing this season to his previous career consisting of a whopping one season.

with that logic, he is cursed yet can still make it to the superbowl. that makes sense.

I think what I am tryin to say is that gettin on the cover of Madden almost guarantees the player a season full of headaches...

I still hope VY plays tomorrow, the league needs him to play, it will make a bad playoff game if he does not play. Even though I would like for the Chargers to win, so we can have either the Jags or the Steelers going up to Foxboro. Divisional playoffs will be fun.
