any luthier will tell you that a car trunk in south florida is a terrible place for any wooden, stringed instrument. the heat and humidity can permanently warp a guitar's neck (even if the guitar in question is really, really expensive).

a few years ago, a lot of musical gear was stolen from sonic youth. the irony, of course, was that their instruments, effects, and amps had been so abused and "modified" that they had no real value to anyone except the band. that was a real crime.

Creed rocks - they are great in concert and MY OWN PRISON is one of my all time fav rock albums...

Sorry to hear about their guitars.. hope they had INSURANCE
