The Democratic Party is in shambles tonight. Not only did they lose their shot at the White House, they lost more Senate and House seats to propel the Republicans' majority in Congress. I also believe, the Republicans gained in the governerships. Considering the hatred for Bush, tonight is a lousy showing by Democrats. They need to hit the drawing board and figure out why only New Englanders and Hollywood elitists vote for them.

The Hollywood elite did more harm than good for the Dems this time around. They supported Kerry, sure, but at the same time, they took extreme viewpoints on certain issues that are hot-button topics for the general population. No one wants to side with the party that has people saying shit like "Oh, maybe Osama was right?" or whatever. Kerry may not have acknowledged statements like that, but the 'power' of Celebrity X saying "I'm a Democrat and I think Osama is right!" is undeniable.
