| I agree. Faith played a huge part in who people voted for at the polls. The only problem is, liberals cannot comprehend why that is, nor are they supposed to. The tone in your statement is the reason liberals will never connect with rural areas. It is condecending, as if there's something wrong with voting based on your faith in a higher power.

| Which is worse? A D.U.I. or committing war crimes in Vietnam? Take a 4 year vacation to France, I heard Kerry secured all of their electoral votes.

As for President Bush being a criminal, you show your ignorance w/ comments like that. I wouldnt consider his past criminal, including the dui. As for the coke thing, it is alleged but even if all of it is true, the man has changed. Having said that, Id line it up to celebrate 4 more years.
Your statement is correct. Liberals didn't have much success connecting with people in Rural areas. If people vote based on their religious beliefs then that's their right and perogative and who am I to say that is wrong or right. But it would seem to that people who do live out in rural areas and voted republican may not be a well informed as those who live in suburbs which are mostly democratic areas. So do you think that being more or less informed or correctly informed plays a big part in a persons politcal compass?
1-24 hr cable news 2-Internet I would say that information is there and accessible for all voters. Do you think the inner city African-American vote is more informed than rural voters? I would say no.

Again, the stereotype that people in rural areas are "dumb" is surfacing through this thread and proves why liberals will never connect with rural voters. Rural areas vote alot of times on faith, period. They could be out of work, homeless, and starving, but will still say to themselves, "Who Would Jesus Vote For?" Is that dumb? I don't think so. Religion is a way of life for many in rural areas, and not just some Sunday social gathering like it is for many in the suburbs. I think if anybody is misinformed, its the people in the innercities.
