| That chart makes more sense than the "system" we have now. Thanks - I needed a laugh this morning.

| The Marines developed a color code system during World War II to help define levels of situational awareness. Later, a former Marine Lieutenant Colonel, Jeff Cooper, adapted the color system for teaching "crisis management in short-range interpersonal confrontations" to military personnel, law enforcement officers, and qualified civilians. Cooper's color code goes something like this: Condition White: Completely relaxed, and completely unaware of your surroundings. While this lack of situational awareness might be acceptable at home, people wander around south Florida in this condition all the time, exposing themselves and others to unneccessary risk. Condition Yellow: Relaxed, but aware. This isn't paranoia, but a heightened state of living. Like the eastern philosophy of "be here, now," it's simply using one's senses to fully appreciate existence. The sky looks brighter, the air smells sweeter, and nobody can sneak up on you. Condition Orange: Specific alert. The vehicle in front of you is weaving. You slow down, change lanes, and prepare to take further action if needed. Condition Red: Fight or flight. You're in immediate danger, and must respond appropriately. So, plaid is the new yellow. I like it. A lot.

| No shit. Don't you think if the Terror level ever hit 'Red' that it would be to late to do anything? Isn't it ironic to think that we have a terror alert level system to warn of impending acts of terror? Why don't they just do away with the alert system and get the MO-FOES before they do anything and tell us about it on the news when it's all good and done....
