Default anyone here been to europe?!

Registered members do not see ads. Register or logon for a better view.
im headed over july 12th for 3 weeks, any advice you wanna give me would be cool

traveling solo, so it should be quite the experience...

never really been out of the US either, hopefully i can find my way out of amsteram when i get there 8)

Make sure you don't exchange money at those foreign exchange places. You would think that all of them have a standard service charge. Depending on where you are they can charge up to 20% of what your exchanging and once you have exchanged your money you can't get it refunded. Try to exchange @ your hotel or at a bank if possible.

amsterdam is a blast. most ATMs take american cards.

true you should use your credit card as much as you can as they will be able to get the best exchange rate. You still will need to have some cash though. Let me tell you be prepared to spend some $$$$ too. Since the dollar is doing so bad right now everything will be pricey for you.

yeah i cant wait to hit up city 16 and plastic fantastic in london...the end of the trip if i have enough cash left im going to go to the global gathering show too...

ur bank will charge u an exchange rate too....make sure it is comparable to other places u know?

I agree with john just use your atm card to get cash check out http://amsterdamhotspots.com/ good guide for the Dam. A must for smoke shops is the De Dampkring my favorite by far they shot a part of Oceans 12 there.

Europe, very cool

where exactly are you going though? i've studied two years there and go like three times or four a year....one in Spain and another one in Germany.

Amsterdam is great yes but there isnt as much to see there, like comparing it to Paris or London....but i guess it depends on what sort of thing you're into.
