| CoolJunkie | I thought twice and my life sucks twice, but I wish everyone could be happy, safe, and of course, alive. Those men and women are heroes, whether the cause they died for is worth it or not. They did something that I could not have done, before dying in the process I mean. They served our country well and for that I respect them and honor them. For their deaths I am saddened for them and their families.

| Regardless of one's politics over the war, I think one should stop short of saying they "died for nothing". I happen to believe they died honorably and accepted the potential outcome when they enlisted, making it even that much more honorable that they made that sacrifice. I would consider overdosing on dope as "dying for nothing", but not dying in combat, no matter what I feel about the war they died in.
