|  Ft Lauderdale people Registered members do not see ads. Register or logon for a better view. Can someone tell me if the area around these streets is nice? I am looking at buying a condo in the area. oakland park at commercial blvd these are the condo's http://www.lakeviewscondo.com/

| Re:Ft Lauderdale people commercial and oakland run parallel the area is ok, you really want to be east of Old Dixie hwy. you'll be between 1-95 and Dixie. the traffic in that area is a nightmare.

 | Re:Ft Lauderdale people It is a decent area, but like the saying goes. Once you cross the tracks, it can get worse. You will be close to everything, but traffic on Oakland park is a bitch, it will be easier to go North and hit Commerical when you can. you are in between Ft Lauderdale Beach and Pompano Beach.

| Re:Ft Lauderdale people there is a road there with the most amazing neighborhood, Bayview drive... I would love to win the lottery and raise a family in that spot.... As for a condo, if you think you'll go to miami a lot, then look at hollywood and south lauderdale by 595 |

[/quote] Yes it is really nice neigborhood. I lived right next to it in Port Royal Apartments. It was my daily running route. The one thing that this neighborhood had that most didn't , is kids play outside , ride bikes around , hang out, really nice. If you have a chance, take a look at the Port Royal Condos. The entire complex is really nice. Tons of single and young profressiionals live there, and it is right on the intercoastal. 3 swimming pools plus workout facilities. Tons of women hang by the pool every day.
