Several Fourth Of July Injuries Blamed On Animal Attacks FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. -- Authorities say a rocket from a July Fourth fireworks display veered off course from the city's pier and exploded on the sand, injuring some Flagler Beach spectators. Flagler Beach Sergeant Dan Cody said six or seven spectators were treated for minor burns at the scene Monday night and released. The accident happened about 15 minutes into the city's annual fireworks display, which continued without interruption. There were a few other strange injuries in Florida Sunday. Emergency officials said a man in his 20s was bitten on the hand by a rattlesnake at Blue Spring State Park in Orange City. He was taken to hospital and was expected to recover. On New Smyrna Beach, a man in his 40s was stung by a stingray in the ocean. He was transported to a hospital on non-emergency status. And a woman in her 20s was bucked and trampled by a horse at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand. She was taken by ambulance to Halifax Medical Center in stable condition.
