Default attn: mods who move threads

Please stop moving threads to junkie chat for no reason. There is nothing more annoying on this forum than having a thread moved. Pod almost never does this, only when it's glaringly off topic (like a post about a new york club in the miami forum), and when he does, he at least has the courtesy to leave a MOVED thread with a trail to the new location.

If people aren't bitching about a thread being off topic, why waste the time and effort to move it when you could spend the energy on moderating posts that are inappropriate?

Does the fact that we're on a Miami forum mean every single thread must be directly regarding something specifically involving Miami? That's ridiculous. We're a group of people in the Miami area, some of the conversation is just going to be between those people but not necessarily regarding Miami itself. I don't read Junkie Chat, and I don't care to. I don't know half the people on Junkie Chat. I won't ever see them in person. If I'm going to discuss something on the board, I want to discuss it with the group of people I know.

Even back a few months ago when the arguing was going on over mods and banning people and this and that, even when every other post was insulting drivel that was a complete waste of bandwidth and space, the lack of moderation then was much less annoying than the overmoderation now.

Oh yeah... and so this doesn't get moved... crobar, south beach, space, miami, blah, blah blah blah.

I'm gonna have to agree with Mike here.

Even though he is the gayest guy I know and it pains me to say this, the faggot does have a point.

You can blame me... I told him to do it after reading the last post in the thread sarcastically suggesting that the mods weren't doing their job by letting such a pointless thread linger where it kinda didn't belong. In hindsight that prolly wasn't necessary. I apologize. I'll keep my mouth shut next time.

Now get over it.

I dont know what thread you are talking about but...mods cannot move a thread without there automatically being a "TOPIC MOVED" post in the forum where the thread was originally posted.

Then one of the mods has a habit of deleting those threads, because every time I've had something of mine moved to Junkie Chat, there has been no placeholder left behind.
