So if the economy is going well (according to some of your claims), then how come the amount of Americans who are at or below the poverty level rose 1.1 million people from 2003 to the current number of 37.4 million people according to the Census Bureau figures released today.....

what percentage did the US population grow by in that time and how? by what percentage did the number of impoverished grow? this stat doesnt say much unless you see all the data.

Well, one thing that Bush is on my shit-list over is this whole illegal immigration thing. I don't think he's done nearly enough because he's afraid of alienating the latino voters. He definitely could be doing more to stop aliens at the border....I think, if anything, this is a major contributing factor to the statistic Terry pointed out and doesn't have much to do with born and raised Americans.
