Needs

Frankfurt based production team, DJ crew and record label NEEDS comprises the brothers Lars and Marek Bartkuhn alongside DJ Yannick. Their distinctive trademark sound displays their widely varied musical influences, which include deepest house grooves, jazz, funk, boogie, disco and a slice of technosoul. Over the years NEEDS have become a synonym for soulful high quality music. Many of their tracks have been played, charted and loved to death by DJ heavyweights around the world, with anthems like "Worlds" often being heralded as timeless dancefloor classics.

NEEDS also built a solid reputation with an impressive string of remixes for artists such as Francois K, Atjazz, Ian Pooley, Jazztronik, Ennio Morricone, Russ Gabriel, Franck Roger, Playin' 4 The City as well as for labels like Compost, Virgin, Quango, King Street, Groove Attack, Infracom or Clairaudience just to name a few.

With their impeccable taste and knowledge of music, creativity, passion and 15 years of DJing experience NEEDS have made a name for themselves as DJs who are able to move a crowd while pushing musical boundaries and challenging expectations - best to be experienced at their legendary Needs nights at Robert Johnson, one of the most influential nightclubs in Germany in the past decade. Over the years the NEEDS crew has delighted dancefloors around the globe at world reknowned clubs such as Loop (Tokyo), Fabric (London), Shelter (NYC), Rex (Paris), Fusion (Stockholm) plus countless other hotspots from South Africa to Sao Paolo and all across Europe.
