Rob Swift formerly of The X-ecutioners has been dj'ing since the age of twelve, and has influenced the art form known as turntablism as John Coltrane has impacted the world of Jazz. He has been hailed by Spin Magazine (April, 1999) as one of the Top Turntablists in the World - next only to DJ Q-Bert and Mix Master Mike. Being the 1992 East Coast DMC Champ is one of only a long list of accolades and awards this turntablist master has garnered. Jazz and hip-hop form an eloquent alliance solidified by the visionary spirit and uncanny manual dexterity of DJ Rob Swift. Being a founding member of turntablist supergroup The X-ecutioners hasn't stopped him from embarking on solo projects that are anything but. His newest masterpiece "War Games" attempts to make a social statement, saying something with relevance, a totally new concept in turntable music;.
