"There’s no classical list. There’s no jazz list."

Um, yeah there are. There are lists for everything imaginable.

Let me deprogram you of artist worship/giving
I really think you should listen to your own advice and for gods sake please stop worshipping Sasha....he basically hasn't done nothing innovating in the past years....so lets stop putting him on the DJ List as the 1 ofthe top 5 in the world.

As far as the DJ list or any type of ranking is concerned in EDM, there is a major factor why people aroudn the world vote for those DJ's that you see in the top 10 and its because they have the ability to travel everywhere around the world, your can download their sets online, you can listen to their sets on Radio 1 or any other online radio station, they play festivals an clubs. Theye are not just limited to 1 continent or city.

People have the opportunityt to hear them and they will make their own judgement. No one is being forced to vote for a any specific DJ, yeah it has a lot to do with popularity but having the ability to travel and have your music heard factors into that too.

DJ worship is annoying. I can respect a dance music artist in terms of what he or she did, but outright worship gets old.

I remember a couple of years ago seeing some junkies on here asking for autographs, Dj Whores wanting to sleep with their favorite DJ. People who will go into big measures just to be in the Dj Booth while their Dj was playing..plain pathetic.

i think the whole Myspace music groups bombarding me with friend requests is pretty annoying.

as far as DJ lists i think there interesting. i look forward to seeing the results of this October's DJMag Top 100, as i do every year. i make an attempt to participate as accurately as one can after hearing from so many incredible DJ's. i think its a good way to track trends and see who has moved people in a particular year. its also intriguing to look at the list from a global perspective and see how electronic music is taking shape not just here in the US, but everywhere.

You can block music groups/artists from requesting you. Actually, you can block everyone from requesting you unless they have your last name or email
