IMO, the music is nothing less than perfect Andre 'SOUL' Williams of 'Soul Simple Entertainment' puts together a great NYC soulful house vibe and the venue was empty(with exception of the other room where hip hop & R&B was playing). Any how the venue was empty. Maybe there needs to be more promotion or advertising I don't know. I knew though that there were other soulful house music events Mark Farina presented by Lust4House at Shine but I also heard it was pretty empty. Then on Saturday 'Aquabooty' was showcasing Miguel Migs at Pawn Shop. I think people out here just go out to be seen not party. I'm from NY and I KNOW whats a great party. Going to such parties as the 'Underground Network' parties, 'Shelter', 'Body & Soul', 'Dance Ritual', etc,. I know this from moving down here to Florida fact is there are no dancers out here plus mainstream radio doesn't even think about playing some cool soulful house tunes in there rotations none-the-less have soulful house music mix shows. So how I see it is that crowds out here that go to these supposed soulful house music parties most of the time just want to be seen. I have been DJing for more than a decade out here and have played in almost all the prominent venues here and I gotta tell ya it's pretty tuff. In the end, I think there maybe many factors to take into account. Favoritism, racism, envy etc,. Whatever the case bad sentiments, negative remarks their out there and it's gotta stop or the scene will slowly fade away. We should all support whatever soulful house music scene we got out here while we still have them. Thanks

| MegaJunkie | Amen... love the name btw .. only thing i have to disagree with .. is the aquabooty crowd. i know the aquabooty faithful go for the music not cuz of the party.. not sure if the crowd that nite at pawn shop perhaps may have been a bit off because it was their first nite. either way aquabooty always draws a crowd.. though i didnt make it out this weekend i for one would have been at both events front and center if i could. farina and migs is as good as it gets. people do have to go out and support .. basically if its not roger, erick... sander.. nic fanciulli etc people dont come out as much. no idea why ...

| Non Sufficit Orbis | Miami is a venue-driven town. The club is very important in terms of where people go. Deep House isn't the issue here from what I see, because Aquabooty's event was slammed. A great DJ, a great party brand, in a great club. Rain unfortunately has a stigma in this town, as the prior ownership burned a lot of people, including the Booty crew themselves.
