I walked into the Pawn Shop, heard some banging house music, and then Joe introduced Kerri Chandler. I never stopped moving or listening intensely for the next few hours. His set made up for every lame clubbing moment I have ever experienced, and he made me fall in love with music all over again. Kmixx (Kevin Donavan) told me that on some of the tracks, that Kerri was playing live keys. This combination of technical wizardry, song selection, muscianship and utter chillness resulted in an aural concoction that simply blew my mind and moved my feet. Thank you, Monique Bingham, who was every bit the sweet spirited house diva, and I loved her rendition of "Most Precious Love", which she sang from the booth before coming out to do her second song. Energizing, mesmirizing, inspiring, invigorating, unpretentious, even spiritual. Saturday nite, was very profound reminder as to why we do the damn thing at all... *quote by JB

| Sela ..thanx for the mention..i dont think a lot of people realized that for the first hour(at least) Kerri played most of his own traxs...that alone was pretty mind boggling...props to groups like aquabooty, your group(the conscoius collective crew),soulxpress, sobe soul and gypsy caravan as well as lust 4 house for giving miami a retaste of what real house music is like..miami its not just a trance town anymore!!!! |
