| Non Sufficit Orbis | It's cool to see my hood coming up. There's a long way to go though, with many situations and challenges that could make it less than ideal, at least from my point of view. There's condos, sure, but they've also got the Midtown Miami shopping complex, so there's commercial areas as well. That gives all the chain stores a place to glom on to, because like I said, sometimes you just need a $5 throw rug. Right on my street, are the more locally owned high end stores like Luminare, Kartell, and so forth with the really tip-top home furnishings. So I'd dare to say there's the potential to strike the balance between big commercial interests and the local businesses. I see this area becoming the next "hip" local area as the still-ongoing gentrification is driving the last of the character out of South Beach. In less than five years, it'll be Orlando with sand.
