It is not B.E.D. but empire event which messe up the clubs...I heard they're no more at Glass neither...here goes the reputation...

it's not the Club which has nothing directly to do with it, but more they have to become aware that it influence how the Venue will be looked at, and sadly even the best club can be ruined by those ignorant Door Guys...

I totally agree B.E.D. has nothing really to do with it only that they allow the promoter to control the night, so in that sense maybe they have to look into it, because this could be one of the major reason why B.E.D. started to become what it became...just a regular club...

Why not blame the club? If they hire these , or allow them to do events there they know what is going on. Not like they don't have a clue what is going on.

I hear you, to certain extense they're responsible for...of course, but maybe they're not totally aware of, or just don't looked at it, since they've generated enough revenue from these promoters... but in the end of the day it's definitely their responsability to check them from time to time to make sure that the club don't reflect the wrong picture to its customers...

umm i been living in south beach kno for 2 years... And i deal w/ alot of VIP type's of ppl and i dont think bed has been menitioned in the top 10 places they gotta visit... As far as i kno its a young rowdy hip hop crowd. so ur scaring all the rich VIP ppl.. WHich bed is built 4... u kno?....

However i do recall comin down for my 1st spring break about 4 yrs ago and BED was the place 2 be... Very cool concept at 1st... I went there twice and i had fill... + u gotta remember theres not enough ppl 2 maintain all these clubs... Jesus how many clubs just opened up 2 blocks down from u guys...


Its a shame but the best party that i've been 2 was on Tuesday's night at the Astor hotel... I dont kno who were the promoters for that party but i wish i did kno so i could book them when i go back 2 miami in september.

9 out of 10 times the door guys are complete dicks in south beach...everyody knows this...


Its not really a matter of opinion its just a fact.

That being said I did run into some REALLY nice people down there who I'm still in contact with.

If somebody is a dick, fuck 'em...obviously they have something to prove and are not too secure with themselfs.;..

I think its good that most people on this board are anti-dick head. Keep trying to sort out the bad apples!

You're right they used to be top 10, but lost it since they've opted to do Hip-Hop instead to stay pure as they were, and also they've lost one of the most notorious SoBe Promoter on Wednesday, and of course Miami-Beach has always had a lot of competitions, in the clubland, and when Hip-Hop overfloated the Beach, all changed...I've been living here since end 1996, and I know what you're saying...Astor hotel is done, since the Restaurant Metronome left the building, and since they reopend under new ownership of Johnny V ( a nationaly acclaimed Chef) everything changed there...
The Promoter which was doing Tuesday nights was Tommy Pooch, now this event is at the Delano... just for your info..

You're totally right, I've been over 20 years in the Club, Music, and Entertainment industry, in Europe, Asia, Near east and here in US, and for sure Miami-Beach has one of the worst Door policy, and this will definitely, damage the image of Miami-Beach nightlife...
And so it will attract less and less people to the clubs, and they will maybe in return visit more the restaurant and bars...
Who know's maybe one day they will regret...when they realize it is the clubgoers which pay the
1 rent of the place
2 the employees
3 the dj
4 the promoter
5 the club-owners...
