" ...you and I have shaped this Beach for over 10years now and sometimes its just fustrating to see how we get treated... and no I think we have to revolte on this, because Miami-Beach is world famous because its Clublife, and if some dorky, and dick-headed Doorman cause that the vacationing customers get repelled it bad, but worse is when actually shakers and movers of the beach get repelled, hen we have a serious problem!

Last night we went to Suite which we just slided in as well before the whole drama we were @ TANTRA packed door as well inside, and nobody blocked us or anything like that, not at all they told us to wait a minute and after 30 seconds they let us in without any hustle! No wonder they do the best event on Monday! (since Backdoor Bambi is in vacation) Sincerly I started this thread, as a reminder to all of the Doormans and Clubowner as well as promoters, be aware without the key-people of Miami-Beach, as well as the regular costumer nobody would get paid!!!

| At This point I would like to thank to all which have given some quite great impulse and comment regarding this thread, and understood that, it is time that the Doormans, Promoter and Clubowners understand we're here to 1 entertaine people 2 we work in the entertainment industry 3 without the people we don't have any pay-check 4 the club can't sustain without customers 5 it's about positivity, and not negativity in the club biz 6 Miami-Beach is famous because off all the great customers from all over the world! Don't let it die!

Well, you've come to the right place to vent your frustrations, then. Like I said, often, the customer regards being talked down and held in a holding patter to be par for the course in a South Beach nightclub. Grant it, across the bridge and at a few holdouts beachside, things are more egalitarian, but that shouldn't be justification for being held for no apparent reason. Valid reasons for being "held" being (in my mind): 1. Capacity. Club only holds so much. 2. Don't 'fit' the night. It sucks, but it's the way. 3. Behavior issues. Drunk, violent, etc. 4. Age. Again, sucks, but those are the breaks. At the least, I've always felt that a quick explanation is the courteous thing to do if you're not being let into a venue. That way you don't sit out there and can move on.

I get that it's important to keep the club hot and not let everyone in for various reasons. However, the door guys, not all of them some are professional, could be nicer to people. I've seen some pretty poor attitudes toward people that didn't deserve it. |

it's not as bad as it is in nyc. many door men are very rude, but sometimes can you blame them. if i heard a million people every night being like oh i know so and so can u bring him here, or im on some list which doesnt exist blah blah i'd be pretty heated too some nights. |

It's a two way street. One of my best friends (recently retired) was one of the best guys in the biz at workin' the ropes. Nicest guy you'll ever meet, but after 1297081230742731 "I know the owner", "I'm on Kinky The Slob's list", and "I know the DJ" all night, you're gonna get a little tired. Nevermind the paying drunks who take twenty minutes to find their ID. If you're hitting the club late, keep that in mind, the doorguy is gonna be a bit cranky. Oh, and not from the same guy, but read this blog: http://standingonthebox.blogspot.com/ ... An insight into working the door in a New York club. He's got a book coming out soon, too.
