Certainly you would need huge capital that you are willing to risk. But. LP is not smart. He just swims in a sea of idiots..Notice on the beach (Spin, Cameo etc) he didn't do so hot.. Why? Because he knows the operators of the beach clubs are smarter than him. (sans Kenny and Kal they are complete idiots) To Take on Space and compete you need only 3 things: 1. 24 hour license 2. Huge Patio 3. Huge real main room No one can name a single club that has ever duplicated these 3 things. Every club that failed didn't follow these 3 basic fundamental keys. Examples: Karu, no 24 hour license or patio Nocturnal, decent patio, no main room Twilo, main room, no patio etc My question is, with all the millions that have been spent trying to compete with him, how come no one ever has built a real competing club? This is not rocket science. And further proof LP swims in a sea of idiots is, that HE HAS S DONE IT TWICE ALREADY WITH THE SAME FUCKING FORMULA! Old Space and new Space followed all 3 principles to the T. Nocturnal spent money on things that provide no value, such as waterfalls. All they had to do was get rid of the 2nd floor, make it one monster main room. Open up the patio, just make it a plain square box, with nothing on it, just bars on the outside and they would have been 1000000000% better off and spent millions less.. So yes, I could take on LP in a virtual internet cooljunkie kinda of way, but hey where the rubber meets the road is a different story but I know I'd fair better than the ass clowns that have come before me. |

| Non Sufficit Orbis | Half the issue is, also, that the people that have tried to take him on have been trying to ape his formula. In a recent interview with Pacha Magazine (I'd link it but Pacha Magazine is still stuck in the 20th...) he actually went out of his way to commend Pawn Shop for trying something original and not copying him.

| interesting, but i think there is more to it than just the three things you stated. i think one of the first things that make his club special is that he has made it a brand, and probably that he was the first pioneer on the block. overall the club has been very consistent and seems to follow a formula that works but at the same time is always evolving.

However, if, according to your predictions, EDM is dead, could it still be done? Space was really built on the upswing of EDM and the drug scene. Nowaday, I do not think you have that same momentum. So, you would need to do Rock or Hip-Hop, or something else. Do you think that could be done?
