Just sad... To be honest though I'm not shocked. It may have been random, but the guy has lead a troubled life, it may have caught up with him. I hope they catch the guys who did it..

It should be interesting to see more details of this story as it unfolds. They said someone left a knife on his bed a couple weeks ago and that the phone lines in his house may have been cut before this attack? Something about it does not seem random?

He was a good freakin' football player though. I was really hoping that with him in the Redskins lineup they may get better and better over the next couple years

Good luck to his family and hopefully they have more details soon.

Great football player, with a young daughter who supposedly had helped him mature and grow up a lot in the past few years. He has a lot of ties with the local community, from winning a state highschool football championship @ Gulliver Prep to winning a NCAA championship with UM and his father is chief of police in Florida City I believe. Its a sad day and I send my condolences to his family and friends. No one deserves to die like that at only 24 years old.

This is horrible news to me.
I'm a diehard Miami fan for pro and college.Sean Taylor was one of my top favorite players of all-time.I looked at him in the same context as ED Reed, Michael Irvin, and Bernie Cosar.I had the pleasure to meet him twice while he was a player at University of Miami.

Sean Taylor, and Ken Dorsey played in 2 Golf Tournaments raising money for children at PGA.He was the type of guy that looked like the hardest person around but the two times i met him he was exteremelly nice and approachable. Not the best Golfer in the world but he was laughing about it and he was the ultimate good sport. It is a sad day for me to hear this news because although i did not know him on a personal level i still thought of him as a great player and an even better person.

He will be missed.
My prayers go out to his family, the Redskins, and the "U" family.

Zach

i have mocked him for getting bowled over by Greg Jones and for being a ghetto Cane, but the time for that is gone. very tragic. i hope they catch the SOB responsible.

Unhappy Re: Sean Taylor pass away

something tells me this is tied to the shooting he was involved in awhile back. at any rate, this guy was one of the best safeties in the game, with him and Laron Landry, the Redskins had one of the best duos in all of football. my positive thoughts go out to his family and especially his young daughter, this seems to be a recurring theme in the NFL of late, Darrent Williamns in Denver now Taylor. so much talent laid waste, may he RIP.
