I asked a few questions......I think that being an active member for all these years and having spent lots of money advertising here over those years entitles me to ask a question or two. Eventually, DaVe said that he couldn't answer my questions about the direction of this site. He promised to have the person in charge answer me. Now......a week later.....they've locked the thread.

Are you really that insecure? Is there no plan? Is nobody in charge?

I asked some questions. I asked them with respect. I waited patiently for an answer that still has not come. You promised to get me the answers. Now you've locked the thread. Why? It was, after all, the most active thread on this board. How can you justify locking the thread? is this no longer a forum where we are free to ask questions? Are we not permitted to question those in charge?

Right now, no one has been available to answer your questions. Feel free to give Diego a call at the office and ask him what's up. (305-534-8678) He has been busy working on a lot of things for the site and is also not a forum user.

Now, as far as the site, there are numerous changes and updates. We have new articles, photo galleries, RSS feeds, comments, etc. If this is not enough for you, then there's probably not much more we can do. We're actively promoting the site, both through improved Internet SEO as well as in person in Miami. We'll be promoting and sponsoring events, out handing out cards and flyers, etc. We'll be working to bring more members and traffic to the site. This will all obviously take time.

Now, this section of the site (the forum) is community driven, and yes, a lot of the regulars have left, so we'll need to do some rebuilding. It certainly does not seem like you want to be a part of that effort, since you do seem to post some constructive comments and threads on TNL, but over here all you do is post negative comments and questions over and over. Feel free to post and submit something positive if you want.

DaVe - I am one of very few of the CJ community to not abandon this site. Instead of recognizing that fact and being in any way grateful for that, you choose to be sarcastic and insulting. If you had been a part of this community for longer than 5 minutes, you would see that my comments on TNL are entirely in line with my comments here. The difference is that there are no topics here for me to comment on either with negative or positive commentary. I rarely start a thread. I am, however, always up for a lively discussion. Unfortunately, the only active topic on this board was the one you locked because you didn't like it.

The reason I was forced to post my comments over and over, as you say, is that you made a promise and didn't follow through. Then, you locked the thread, which seems to be a little silly.

By the way, TNL has never locked or deleted a thread despite there being threads posted by mystery people talking about lawsuits and other bad things. They actually allow an unobstructed discussion to occur.....something you may want to consider.

The forum is the heart of this site and always has been. For Diego to ignore it as he has at a time when the few remaining members are begging for a reason not to abandon the site is just poor business. When, in another thread, he was described as aloof, you and Lainie objected and spoke of how wrong that was. What are we to think now?

It seems that you think everything is fine here and we are being silly. I've seen no promotion for the site and I have been out every weekend. I see no groundswell of support nor increased traffic. All I see is people unhappy about what has happened and management who does not seem to care. You seem bothered every time you are asked to answer anything but Diego is either too busy or aloof to answer.

I also noticed that you deleted the thread I started with the topic ATTN: DaVe. FYI - If you want people to start conversation and express their views, censorship is probably not a thing you want to be known for.

You wanted constructive....there you go.
