For those of you skeptical about their ability to pull off an engaging event outside the realm of your headphones, the duo promises to perform a "decks and effects" multimedia presentation of UNKLE's work, both past and present. Whether or not "decks and effects" are really sci-fi code for turntables and flashing lights, we assume their presence is intended to fill in for the all-star roster of guest spots found on both UNKLE records. The tour curiously encompasses both U.S. coasts, the Great Lakes, and two cities in Canada, but not much in between. Are UNKLE unfamiliar with the budding electronic fanbase of the Southwest? No respect, as the late Rappin' Rodney might grumpily grumble:

For those of you with last year's import version of Never, Never Land, Global Underground is adding a few goodies in the form of two bonus tracks on the stateside release. The increasingly unavoidable Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age remixes one track with the help of Alain Johannes, while Chriss Goss tries his hand at another. Plus, for a few lucky consumers, a limited 2xCD edition and an equally scarce triple-LP version will be available. DFA tackles "In a State" on both of these releases-- a fitting choice, as DFA co-founder Tim Goldsworthy is an ex-member of UNKLE from way back in the pre-DJ Shadow days. (The salad days, we believe they're called.) The two bonus albums are very similar in their tracklists, but sharp eyes will notice the differences:
