He is Professor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, and principal of Hood Design in Oakland, California. He is currently designing a six-mile Waterfront Trail in Oakland and the gardens and landscape for the new de Young Museum in San Francisco. A recipient of the American Society of Landscape Architecture National Award of Honor (2003), Hood is the author two books: Urban Diaries (1997) and Blues & Jazz Landscape Improvisations (1993). | CoolJunkie | Those are pretty cool, there is a live event series going on outside right nearby so there are a lot of people there, food, wine, a museum right there if the music sucks that night, it's cool. The big event in this series is going to be the Baboons. I'll get the date and post it.

| CoolJunkie | Miami Art Museum, down town. There is a court yard in between a bunch of buildings where they do the live music, it's all very civilized. It's a really really really nice place to spend an evening now that the weather is getting so nice. You can see the buildings around you peeking up into the sky while you listen to your tunes and sip your wine. There is also like a cultural museum or something off of that court yard too and I think the public library? Parking is pretty easy too, there is a garage right there for like $5 or something. Worth it.

| I'll be there this week and next week. I try to attend every other week. Oct. 28th they will have Steel & Ivory playing their stuff can't wait.
