~~ Motley Crue Concert Review ~~

Last night - Office Depot Center - Ft. Lauderdale - we were on the side of stage, 16th row up. Great seats. Of course, front row would have been better!!!!!

I WAS BLOWN AWAY... VERY IMPRESSED!!!!! The boys sounded as good as they did 20 years ago!! Vince Neil looked great and his voice sounded fantastic!! Mick Mars, God bless him, still rocked it. Nikki Sixx and of course the crazy ass Tommy Lee.. His drum solo at the end was pretty dope... I'll get to that later.....

We missed the little clay-mation movie in the beginning (had to tail gate of course!) but I heard it was gay anyway. lol

The Crue started the show with SHOUT AT THE DEVIL... the place went nuts... Other than that, the people in Ft. Lauderdale suck! They don't know how to rock out and have fun... For the most part, the people on the floor seemed to just stare more than fist pump and throw up anarchy signs... those of us in my section were going nuts.. GUIDO FIST PUMP w/ ANARCHY SIGN was in full effect After seeing Metallica at the ODC and now Motley Crue, my buddy Jeffgq and I have come to the conclusion that Ft. Lauderdale people are clueless when it comes to a good rock show. If you're one of these stunads - then you suck! Don't look like a zombie and stare - fucking rock out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moving on. Here's the tracklisting from what I remember (jeffgq, fill in the ones I miss!!)... the first half of the show they OLD SKOOL shit.. only stuff from the 1st two albums... it was so awesome... I haven't heard some of those songs in 15 years!!! Then they took a 10 minute break and came back and played Dr.Feelgood and beyond.. it was soooo dope... These aren't in any order, but here we go:

Anyway, during Primal Scream, Vince Neil took a fall on the corner of the stage... word on the street is he cut his finger pretty bad. Mick Mars, all though he looked kinda dead on-stage was fucking awesome.... I don't think he's going to make the whole tour due to his disease, but it was great that WE got to see the original 4 members.. Nikki Sixx is still wild as ever.. I still can't get over how good Vince sounded... He hit all the high notes and was really awesome.

Tommy Lee... this crazy mofo's drum solo was the shit.. For this show, he had two drum sets way up just under the rafters on each side of the stage.... he throws on a harness and up he goes... he's playing the drums way up in the air - sparks are flying.. it was wild.... then all of a sudden.. he swings over the another drum set on the other side of the stage.. shit was nuts!!!!!!!!!!! The Pyro-technics were fantastic.. several explosions and fire... It totally kicked major ass!

Only bad thing of the whole night was when I went to get my camera phone out to take a picture - it flipped out of my hand and landed right in my vodka/cran!!! I have no phone numbers now and all my pics from Metallica and Motley Crue that were on my phone are now gone.. I'm soooo pissed!! At least I have insurance.... that damn phone was $300!!!!!!

I'm from Detroit ROCK City.. Now thats where the real deal is to see a concert..

You know what it was... I doubt half the crowd on the floor knew the first set of songs.. that was soo old skool - people only know Dr.Feelgood, etc.... so they looked kinda lost. LOL We were going crazy in our section.. the whole show was so dope!
