Heralded as one of the naughtiest parties in town, Back Door Bamby has been the diamond darling of South Beach since the town first laid eyes on her almost nine years ago. The fictional character Bamby is the foundation of the legendary event which is produced and promoted by Mykel Stevens and Carmel Ophir.

Every Monday night, through the club’s back door (hence the name), the curious and the brave can get a healthy dose of some electro-fied, funkified, sexy, house music with a rock and roll attitude at Crobar Nightclub. Provocative and unorthodox, this steamy siren earned her notorious reputation by remaining true to the ethic that anything and everything goes. Capturing this essence in his brushwork; the artist, Attila Lakatoush created the pictorial icon of Bamby - whose feline grace pays homage to the pinup fantasy of days gone by, while the fearless glimmer in her eye is an undoubtedly modern challenge to the viewer.

Back Door Bamby was born in March 1996 at Lua Lounge, and throughout the years after, Bamby took residence at several of Miami's hottest clubs, experiencing Liquid, Groove Jet, KGB, Blue, and for the last 5 years at Crobar. All with a twinkle in her eye and all the while evolving and maturing... Back Door Bamby currently boasts 3 rooms with different charm and edge... Bamby's Playpen with DJ's Gigi, Shannon, and Ani Phearce spinning House Music with a Bad-Ass attitude... The Pharmacy with DJ Gregg Foreman spinning Rock n' Roll, Glam, New Wave, and 60's Soul... The Boom Boom Room with DJ Tom Laroc spinning Classic Hip Hop, Funk and Freestyle.

From the beginning it seemed certain that this emerging starlet, Bamby, would lead a charmed life. The buzz on the street drew in a "who's who?" crowd from far and near. The party was intended to be a playground for the locals, whose individual eccentricities lent so much color and flavor to Miami's incredible underground club scene. Everyone that worked the scene became like a family and Bamby welcomed them with open arms: locals, retailers, salons, restaurants... gay, straight, black, white... rockers, rastas, models, suits', freaks, geeks, chic, and the meek, and of course the Kings and Queens working that trashy drag!

It was the chemistry created by this exotic blend of people and Bamby's devotion to quality dance music that attracted the attention and support of the music industry. Enchanted by the unexpected twists and turns in the evening's festivities, the party grew and grew.

'Home-sweet-Home' some might be inclined to say, although when you enter Bamby's house, you never know what to expect or what may be in store in for you. Just remember to use the back door and chances are Monday nights will never be the same again. Both Carmel and Mykel take their production seriously and believe that the Back Door Bamby experience should be a banquet for the senses, and that the music and entertainment comes first. You don't need to be a star to be a VIP, because in Bamby's house you're all stars!

Combine Crobar's Phazon sound system with some of the hottest names in dance music and you are in for a treat. Back Door Bamby has been honored by the performances of DJs: Little Louie Vega, Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, John Digweed, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Dmitri from Dee-lite, Dave Ralph, Josh Wink, Harry "Choo Choo" Romero, Larry Tee, DJ Hell, Lady Miss Kier, and many more!

U.S. Tour: In 2003 Back Door Bamby along with Heineken and Maxim Magazine embarked on the “Adventure to Stardom” Tour which spanned 8 major cities from coast to coast.
