I give it an A-

Overall really good and I would say worth owning/bootlegging

Very funny at times and well written. Meryl Streep gives a magnificant performance, right on point. The antagonist also does a great job. Anne Hathaway was eh IMO... I think she could have made the character much more likeable. And they could have had more runway scenes.
See, I thought that the Hathaway character was *supposed* to be "eh". She was not supposed to be likable. To me, she was not the hero of the flick, the Streep character was. A high-powered female executive trying to keep a major magazine and a whole indrusty moving forward. And she takes a chance on this little whiner (Hathaway) and was, eventually, let down.

Did you like it though?
Oh, the movie I totally loved! I even thought Hathaway did a great job. I just thought her character was *supposed* to be unlikable and that's how she played it.

I see your point, but I thought her performance weakened the film overall. Of course it's hard to shine next to Streep
LOL! I loooooooooooved Streep! I want to work for her! My boss is a lot like her, except really nice about it. But he does do the whole "list of todo's at high speed" thing. It is great to work for someone who really knows what they are doing and has idea after idea for moving the company forward.

i did not think anne hathaway was very good. as a result i did not care about her character, thus i did not care about her plight, and subsequently the movie. streep was good, but she was not asked to do much here. i also expected her character to be more sinister than she was, given the plot.

thumbs down. yes, i am a guy, but i can have an open mind from time to time.
