Wasn't our government trying to discredit this movie. I can't wait to see this one -especially given the current feedback/concern over Blackwater. Co-inky-dink? They do say that art imitates life, eh?

Explain some more for me, please. The government was trying to discredit this movie? How so? I'm not a Political Junkie.

i never heard that.

the movie looks promising, although Peter Berg has laid a couple eggs in the past, imo.

Well, if you want to take my word for it... I can tell you its REALLY REALLY GOOD!

Ya know, it's amazing the difference a good trailer and a not so good trailer can make on your chance of seeing a movie. Go here: Apple - Trailers - Universal Pictures - The Kingdom - Large - Theatrical Trailer

Out of all the 3 trailers for this movie, #2 is the best. The others just plain suck in comparison and wouldn't entice me to see this movie.

Thumbs up Re: The Kingdom

Saw this over the wekend -oveall rating A- would have liked more action but I dig teh CSI type storyline. If I recall correctly, the film caught heat form the US Stte Department because of the somewhat less than flattering portrayal of the Saudi Government and some innuendo. Overall, you should enjoy the film -especially the last 25 minutes or so - keep you glued to your stadium seating.

i thought it was a good movie, lots of action at the end.

i finally got to see jason bateman take a beating like a man and try to kick some ass too.

he's usually the scared one or runs away in like all of his movies.

also the ending where what they say to each other, across the country, i knew it was coming but it still sounded meaningful.
