| DR DOO YOO RVNS019 A: FRED EVERYTHING REMIX: Click here for sample AA1: ASAD RIZVI REMIX: Click here for sample AA2: VANGROOVER ORIGINAL: Click here for sample With our finger on the red button, Reverberations is ready for 2006, with a tidy line of new releases to fire upon the House Music world. And what better way to set it off than this one particularly dangerous slab of dancefloor mass-destruction? Sean Dimitrie’s second release on Reverberations manifests itself in the form of this medical-malpracticing Hip-Housing monster featuring vocals by Californian chanteuse Felicia Lee. Sitting comfortably on the half-way line between House and pure Hip-Hop, our favourite Vancouverite’s original is a masterpiece of modern dance music in its on right with its sassy vocals and syncopated beats. But we couldn’t just leave it there thus we pulled in the legendary talents of Montréal’s Fred Everything whose stripped down but bumped up version is already causing mayhem on dancefloors around the world. And to round of the package, our own Asad Rizvi has put together a nasty jacker of a remix, residing somewhere between London and Chicago, with its walking bass, skippy beats, tweaky synths and utterly deranged breakdown. Three unique but equally strong mixes combine on our nineteenth release on what is perhaps our favourite record on Reverberations to date. Support has come in the form of plays by DJ Heather, Lawnchair Generals, Jacob London, Jay Tripwire, Patrick Turner, Chuck Love, Joshua Iz, Joey Youngman, Murray Richardson, Paolo Mojo, John Larner, Nathan Coles, Ashley Casselle, Mastiksoul, Tom Baker and more... OUT NEXT MONTH via Intergroove UK. Available through all the usual outlets. |
