i think what they're talking about about in these videos transcends to all genres of music

i was having this discussion with a co-worker, about how record companies are now less willing to give advances to produce an album

there mostly looking for music entrepreneurs that have gotten there hands wet and have something out there already and a pre-established fan base

myspace has proved its self to be a great tool for this
also when beat port and other sites like it, came along it helps lots of smaller indie labels
