I know i am going to start a world of hurt here and open up a bag of worms.

But what are your guys thoughts on good quality production speakers that are cheap or is a good price for its quality?

I have a pair of Alesis Monitor II's. Excellent sound quality!

A little over a grand....but worth it.

the best advice is to go to a local music shop, bring a CD that you know is mastered well and play-test in all the studio monitors there

it ALL comes down to personal preference

the monitors wont make or break your productions -- but if they are to your preference it will be a much more enjoyable process

go with what works for you

If there is one thing that Behringer makes that's pretty good it's these monitors..

The Behringer Truth.. Approx $475-$550 a pair. For this price you won't find a better pair of self powered studio monitors out there.

I for one have a pair of these Mackie H624s...
