Asylum Sneaker Remixes – Magik Johnson CURFEW005R Since Magik Johnson’s original tech-house growler has been picked up and hammered by an almost bewildering variety of DJs – (everyone from the dark prog lord Sasha to the dubstep meister Jesse Rose, taking in all points between from techno god Adam Beyer to electro-hit machine Eric Prydz) - we think it’s time for some remixes. Just to make sure that there’s no one left who isn’t playing this track... First up is warped-bass worshipper Worthy (try saying that when you’re pissed), who lays down a vibe that’s equal parts Berlin minimal and San Fran low-end funk for the Switch-y glitchy crew. Magik Johnson takes things extremely dark and deep with his ‘Ward 27’ mix, stripping back the original’s surges and whooshes to reveal the track’s moody bones. Wrapping up the package is Tim Richards, with a bit of primetime NZ electro-tech that growls out of the speakers just nicely thanks. Available exclusively through Beatport from November 1st – enjoy. Forthcoming on Curfew Magik Johnson - Asylum Sneaker Remixes (Worthy/Magik Johnson/Tim Richards) - 005R King Unique – Yohkoh (Original/Pitch & Hold) - 006 King Unique – Yohkoh (Luke Dzierzek/James Talk) - 006R
