Listen to and buy Skylark - I-Panik on Saved Records at Trackitdown.net » Interview Miami is always a special occasion and this looks set to be the best ever. Tell us your best memory or event from the Winter Music Conference week? My Best Memory of Winter music conference had to be playing the space terrace 3 Years ago. The sun was coming up and I was playing after Danny Howells who was playing the most amazing Deep house. I didn't get off the decks till about 3 in the afternoon ![]() Your recent Skylark album 'I-Panik' on Saved Records has been really well received by the Trackitdown.net customers and now we're running an exclusive competition to remix one of the tracks on the album. Can you tell us what the idea was behind this album and what you're looking for from new producers when they create a remix? Basically we are going make all the parts available for people to download. They don't all have to be from the same track, which makes it a lot more fun. Then when we get them back we are going to put the best mix out that suits the label's sound. You and James toured all last year under One+One. This year it's simply James Zabiela & Nic Fancuilli. Will we see any more official One+One events in the future and what was your highlight from the tour together? I think that we won't see the One + One concept for a bit, we had a lot of fun doing it for a year but we've both got lots of solo projects on the go for the moment. We will still be playing together every now and then, like at this party for example so that's fun. The promotion for the event bills the event as 'James Zabiela & Nic Fanciulli powered by Trackitdown.net with the much hyped Dynacord Sound System'. What is so good about this new system and what are your favorite club systems around the world to play on? I've never played at this club or sound-system, but James has - he was raving to me how good it is, so I'm looking forward to it. You and James are the pioneers of the new Q2 hardware. It's a brand new piece of kit first tested by you to in Space, Ibiza. What does it do and how does it help your performance together? It basically means that back to back dj's can interact more. Gone are the days of one on one off. This machine means that we can both keep playing at the same time without getting in each others way. What drink can you expect from all the fans and industry on the night during your mammoth 5 hour set to keep you going? Whatever they like, the crowd always seems to be in good spirit there. Which artists and labels are giving you goosebumps at the moment? Any tips for 2008? Wow there are so many! I think at the moment it has to be Massi Dl, He has just turned in an incredible mix for Saved. But there are loads more too.
