Black belt, long time percussionist & now Playboy's newest resident scratch diva, Shortee has been acknowledged as the most diverse & technically skilled female DJ in the world.

She is the first & only female ever to win the U.S.'s largest electronic music mixing competition, the Fever/Buzz Battle Of The DJ's held at Nation for Buzzlife (Washington D.C. - 1997). Shortee's unique contribution to the art of Scratching & Beat Juggling earned her a spot as the only female DJ featured in Doug Pray's award winning documentary "Scratch" (Palm Pictures) seen in theatres across the globe as well as networks HBO, VH1, Cinemax, Showtime, Encore, Sundance, Independent Film Channel & more.

She has produced her own instructional DVD series "Shortee's DJ 101 & 202", released numerous original albums and licensed her music for The World Cup, X-Games, Ubi Soft, Tribal Streetwear & networks such as MTV, ESPN, CNN & NBC. Her skills as a DJ & Producer have earned her rave reviews in publications such as Spin, Urb, Rolling Stone, NY Times, Washington Post, DJ Times, Remix, XLR8R, Venus, Vice, etc. as well as ranked in the coveted Urb Magazine Next 100 (2001).

In 1998, Shortee made her first production appearance on Faust’s “Man Or Myth" (the first turntablist album ever released along with Craze & Shotgun, followed by a joint EP release alongside Faust & DJ Craze(6x DMC champion) entitled The Fathomless EP, the first musical release containing Drum & Bass tracks comprised solely of scratching. In 1999, Shortee's full- length solo debut "The Dreamer" became the first album produced by a female turntablist, and she has since released multiple joint albums with her production partner DJ Faust (Digital Soul & Satisfaction Guaranteed), singles, remixes (Tino Corp) & appeared solo & jointly on numerous compilations (Urban Revolutions, Return of the DJ 3, DJ Girl, Revenge of the B-Boy, XIII Soundtrack…)
Shortee is seemless whether she appears solo or part of a group & is well-known for her one-of-a-kind 4-turntable transmissions alongside her husband DJ Faust. The married couple also perform together in a variety of trios including "Urban Assault" with MC Armanni (Hip Hop, Drum & Bass),"The Naturals" with poet Christopher Longoria (Musical Poetry) and "The Essentials" with MC Supastion, (Original Hip Hop).

Shortee is active member of the world-reknowned Future Primitive Sound Collective (along with Faust, Cut Chemist, Dj Shadow, Shortcut, Jack Dangers, Disk & Buckethead (Primus), Tino Corp, DJ Design, Zeph, Space Travelers, Z-Trip, Devious Doze & more). A co-founder of both the original turntablist crew Third World Citizens (Faust, Shortee, Craze, Shotgun, King James, & T-rock) now simply: The Citizenz (Faust, Shortee, T-Rock, Enki, Root, Jerm & Danny The Wildchild) as well as her electronic-oriented crew: Space Kadets Collective (Faust, Motomasa, Eve, Kri & Usul).

She has performed solo at such high profile events as Playboy's Super Saturday Super Bowl Party (2003) & toured extensively teaching DJ classes & performing for corporate giants Coca-Cola/Sprite, Frito Lay, Playboy Magazine & Simon Malls. A seasoned globetrotter, Shortee has rocked nightclubs, special events, & concerts across the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Korea, Italy, UK, & Holland spinning styles ranging from Hip-Hop, Breaks to Turntablist Showcases, Funk & Soul to House & Techno to Drum & Bass. Regardless of whether she DJing, teaching or producing, above all Shortee represents the ever evolving artist.






DJ Annalyze

NY's own DJ Annalyze has played all over the US & Canada alongside DJ's Baby Anne, Shortee, Q-bert, Rap, Aphrodite, Jackal, Danny the Wildchild & much more . She has made appearance's at the Winter NAMM show in 2003 & 2004 and also did spot dates for The VANS Warp Tour in 2002 & 2003. Earning a sponsorship by Stanton Magnetics, Anna & her scratch partner DJ Shortee form Stanton’s first female scratch duo "Twice as Nice.” Anna combines breakbeat and electro with DMC style trickery & is known for rocking the crowd!.
