Default Demi with Alex Karalanian, AlterImage & Paul Sparkes @ Love THUR 1/15

Thursday 1.15
flawless, MeanRed & Love present

Demi
with AlterImage, Paul Sparkes & Alex Karalanian

Love

Love favorite Demi makes his return to NYC's best sound system. Hot on the heels of the Balance 13 album and tour with fellow SOS collective members Desyn Masiello and Omid 16B, the Deeper Substance label head is back on our shores to rock it out solo. Demi's signature blend of chugging beats and melodic tech first caught flawless' attention back when he was playing with Sander at Crobar, and his productions and mixes have been impressing us ever since.

Musical support provided by Alex Karalanian (PropagandaNYC) & AlterImage (Abducted Recordings, Quarterlife), who welcome special guest Paul Sparkes (Amsterdam, 365Mag, SilverPlanet) for a special "Vs." set.

Presented in cooperation with MeanRed and Love. A limited number of $10 advance tix available at MusicIsLove.net.

Demi

A contagiously exuberant character with bags of talent, Demi has made an extraordinary impression on dancefloors the world over. He set out DJing in Bali, Indonesia, but later launched his own magnetic event, Deeper Substance, during 2001 in London. His distinctive concept and its associated sounds have since attracted a strong following, with outstanding events held at the WMC in Miami for three consecutive years. During this time, the legendary Danny Tenaglia invited Demi on several occasions to DJ alongside him in New York and his most recent visit to London, which he did, as well as spinning around the globe from Ibiza to Brazil. Deeper Substance has now evolved to include a label and Demi has been releasing his own music, including Gearbox and D-Drive in 2005 as well as remixing for Sunday Best and SexonWax Recordings.

AlterImage

The AlterImage sound is almost innately progressive comprised of all forms of house from tech to breaks, progressive to techno, the duo's sound is full, rich and most importantly, moving..

There are not too many clubs in NYC that AlterImage haven't rocked. From Cielo, to Pacha, to Crobar, to Sullivan Room playing directly alongside the likes of Steve Lawler, Markus Schulz, Pig & Dan, Dave Dresden, Josh Gabriel, Behrouz, Justin Martin and Luke Chable. Their impact at NYC’s top electronic-friendly venues has been almost seismic. Busy in the studio AlterImage currently has productions released on Quarterlife, Dusk, Silver Planet and Cloudbreak with upcoming releases on PQM’s Abducted Recordings and Ferry Corsten''s Aleph Recordings (Flashover).

The track is enjoying support from all the top jocks including Desyn Masiello, 16Bit Lolitas, Hernan Cattaneo, Lucien Foort and many more.

His weekly 365LiveRadio Friday night show is syndicated across the world by ID&T's Dance Tunes. The show has featured live mixes and exclusive interviews with the top DJs and producers.

Internationally, Paul has played in the US, Israel, Sweden, Germany, Dubai and his native UK.
