Hey all. I need a good family resturaunt to go to tonight on Las Olas.

I've never been anywhere in Ft Lauderdale to eat and I figure I want to try something new tonight (Wednesday).

Anything good there?

Timpano is ok for italian, not mind blowing.
Japanese Village is decent for hibatchi.
Cafe Europa is good, but it's been a long time since i've been there.

I don't know...

From these reviews so far it doesn't seem as though I should go out of my way to eat anywhere there...

Any other suggestions for that area?

I haven't been but I have heard great things about Johnny V's and was told I had to check it out. The chef has gotten national recognition.

I thought he closed that when he opened Johnny V at the Astor hotel? Guess not, and it's a good thing because he ended up shutting down the Astor location anyway. I guess you really can't go home again (he had a restaurant there a few years ago).
