Lightbulb Green Bag

I came across these at Publix near the checkout counter/exit. For under $2 a bag ($1.49 to be exact), you can get a green bag to put your groceries in instead of your usual paper or plastic [less waste!]. So I bought 3 of them. What would have filled 8 plastic bags, give or take, I was able to fit nicely into 2 1/2 green bags! I was impressed. And, of course, they're reusable! I'll be keeping them in my car for future Publix runs.

Here's their website if you'd ilke to check it out: http://greenbag.info/

Or, you can recycle your used plastic bags in front of Publix.

We have these great ones from Trader Joe's that are only 99 cents. They work REALLY great and being that they are the woven plastic, also really durable. If anyone wants me to get some to send them, let me know! I go there all the time.

Ok uhh this is the oddest thing I have ever heard of. If publix cared so much for the environment they would give them out for free. Sounds like a hokey gimmick to make granny garment looking bags in style. no thanks ill pass. A little too ecologically pretentious for my liking.

I don't see what's so odd about that. But suit yourself.

And Publix does not make them. They sell them. The company that makes them is called Green Bag.
