Due to reasons beyond our control,
the new Management which is the lady owner of the location,
1104 (Old Spy Bar) will change it's music program.

Raymond "Monchi" Portela, John "Ender" Rios and DJ RED, will no longer be there bringing you the good vibes and music that you love.

From now on, the music program will be Hip-Hop and mostly Reggaeton, as the Lady owner spoke to us. Good Luck!

We apologize for this situation.

Shortly, we are planning to bring you once again the true feeling of what Spy Bar Music was and it's after hour essence. And yes, we already have a new location. If everything goes smooth, we'll be openning in one or two weeks hopefully!

ps. Despite this awful and sad situation last Thursday April 8th, was a blast! The place was packed and all headz where moving along with the vibe. Michael "Troko" Ramirez our Guest DJ, Friday DJ Resident John "Ender" Rios (he just couldn't resist and stepped along!) and myself delivered huge with our sets! There was just an unusual incident in which our Guest DJ disappeared for 2 Hrs (6am-8am), but we finally found him! For more details ask him! Ok! Sorry Michael! Had to do it! hahahahahahahahahaha! 8)

Hey Michael, let us in on the news about your dissapearance!!!! Hahahah.......

Man, Raymond, remember that shit happens all the time and that reggaeton is taking over our damn island. Money talks with the owner of 1104, but I will assure you that after they turn it into a reggaeton and hip-hop place, they will encounter many problems with a rather unruly crowd and will end up shutting (or shooting!!) the place down.

Anyways, finding a new afterhours venue will make it interesting as 1104 was beginning to experience bad reputation. Good luck!!

Well what can I say... All I can call it was a electronic malfunction caused by too many Heinekens. Damn, those green beers somehow fuck you up. I wonder why they are green. Maybe they contain some "greenish" substance that nobody knows about. Anyways, I appreciate the people who put this party up. I had a blast of a time. Thanks Monchi for the slot and hopefully there be a better ocassion on the near future. You guys will definately find a better place for an upcoming afterhours soon enough. I really enjoyed Spybar for some time. I hate it that this reggaeton movement is like a fuckin virus eating everything up and also destroying nightlife as it is in Puerto Rico. I say it out loud and I know that all the ghetto shootings are caused only on clubs that play this type of music and that attract this type of crowd. O well, we are always in migration looking for a better place before they take over...

Michael! Yo wut up! Thank You for spinning with us man.

We are are still working on the new location for our new after hours temple.

A little bird told me that the lady owner of 1104 was having second thoughts of what she did to us and to all our faithful heads that made her profits. Nobody, and I mean nobody, showed up on late Friday night (in which we had to take our sound system out and she already had one in the back storage of the place) after we left and also on Saturday. Well I guess she didn't saw it coming. She thought that putting reggaeton was a good thing to make a quick regain on what she lost with the guy that rented the place before... Like we said here in Puerto Rico: "Que metia de pata!"

So maybe we might be back again there. Who knows. One thing for shure the owner would have to make it up to us.

And for the record, none of us (Red, John or Me), said negative things about the place, just that it had a change in it's music program and wished good luck on a nice mannerly way to the owner.
