South Florida does get its fair share of prominent live acts coming through. Just a few weeks ago Radiohead kicked off their U.S. tour in Ft. Lauderdale. Now it's Miami's turn as this weekend offers quite possibly one of the most unique live acts around, Modeselektor.
This Saturday at Studio A Future Mob and CoolJunkie present a special live U.S. appearance by the German duo. Referred to as glitch-pop, dub step, maximal and techno, the easiest way to describe these guys is, well, just a sheer hell of a fucking party.
From the moment that CJ witnessed the high level of energy that these guys brought to Coachella, we knew that their live sets are an event that’s not to be missed. After the release of their Happy Birthday! album, the hype for the duo has sky rocketed.
Miami’s truly lucky to have this one time special U.S. appearance. After their stop at Studio A it’s off to for the Australian leg of the tour, then back to Europe to wrap things up. Just saying, they could of totally skipped out here.
Drawing heavily from IDM, electro and hip hop, Modeselektor are truly a unique and eclectic electronic mix that appeals to anyone who’s into worthy sound. A favorite of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, who’s actually featured on Happy Birthday!, the special event will be kicked off by another prominent electronic artist that was featured on the album and that calls Miami home, Otto von Schirach.
The official afterparty for the event will be held at Poplife at the White Room. Ticket holders can just hold on to those stubs for free entry to the party, not to mention it's only a $15 ticket. There’s no other better deal this Saturday night.
