One of the best indie rock line-ups will stop at Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale Wednesday night featuring White Rabbits, The Walkmen and Spoon. The acts on this night features bands that could each be headlining their own U.S. tour, but lucky for us they decided to ride around together and play on the same night.
With the release of their 2007 highly touted Fort Nightly, the six-piece White Rabbits from Brooklyn have the opening slot and will be kicking things off with their strumming flurry and charming vocals. CoolJunkie will be catching up with the hyped boys after sound-check, so look out for the interview in the coming week.
The Walkmen are once again in South Florida and have the second slot of the show. Not much noise has been made by the New York city indie rockers, but with classic tracks like The Rat and We’ve Been Had plenty of Walkmen fans will be in attendance, plus, like most shows, the band more than likely will play some new tracks that they’ve been working on.
Spoon will take the stage last and will be performing songs off of last year’s Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. The Austin quartet are beginning to show signs of longevity as they’ve surpassed the ten-year mark on their career together, and yet keep making stellar albums. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga was one of the best albums of 2007, and as performers the boys don’t miss the target.
