One of the best and most influential bands of the past decade, At The Drive-In, are back in talks and trying to work things out with one another. After the El Paso, Texas outfit split up in 2001 due to creative differences in the group, singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and guitarist Omar Rodriguez-López formed the prog-rock band, The Mars Volta. “We’ve been making amends with a lot of the members and having some really good talks with them,” Bixler-Zavala recently said in an interview.
“We’ve been trying to get our financial business in order because a lot of people have been ripping off that band really badly.” However, he did mention that he would not be opposed to a possible reunion, a possibility that has many At The Drive-In fans jumping for joy. How fitting would it be for them to get back together at Coachella 2010?
